About Knoxville-Knox County (CAC) Transforming Western Project:
This is a people-led project, federally funded by the Choice Neighborhood Implementation grant, in partnership with Knoxville’s Community Development Corporation and the City of Knoxville. Through this ambitious project, we will take the time to listen to the needs, concerns, and most importantly the dreams of the people of Western Heights and Beaumont. CAC works alongside residents to assist them as they meet personal goals, build capacity, and lead their path forward. CAC strives to empower and support the residents of Western Heights to improve education, health, youth opportunities, economic stability, and food security. POSITION SUMMARY:
The Community Impact Ambassador will be responsible for recruiting partnerships, scheduling life-skill classes, generating interest in programming through event outreach and social media, developing a consumer-based leadership curriculum, and managing the Transforming Western Resident Ambassador program.
The Community Impact Ambassador will manage Resident Ambassadors who serve as liaisons to CAC by providing resident feedback so programming can be tailored to meet the emergent needs of residents.
The member(s) in this position will have the opportunity to gain the following skills/credentials:

- Marketing and promotion of CAC programs, activities, and events
- Coordination of online activities
- Social media content management
- Community partnership building
- Development of curriculum materials and program activity plans

- Development of client success stories
- Development of community/program impact statements and reports
SITE PREFERENCES/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum education level – some college
