About East Tennessee Development District:

East Tennessee Development District is a Federal and State statute-created agency to serve municipal and county governments that are located in the mid-east region of Tennessee. ETDD provides sixteen counties and fifty-six municipalities with planning and development services while also serving as a forum for local governments to solve common problems associated with economic development and growth. Organized in 1966, the East Tennessee Development District continues to be a vital force in helping local governments plan for the future by coordinating the establishment of regional and local priorities within the fields of economic and community development in Campbell, Claiborne, Grainger, Monroe, Morgan, Scott, and Union Counties, and the municipalities and organizations contained therein. The goal will be accomplished through overall community outreach and direct engagement with local officials and currently active Community Health Workers on the Department of Labor project, grant application completion and submission, and grant administration

Position Summary:
  • Engage with community members and local officials to assess community needs
  • Initiate and develop partnerships with local organizations that can help address community needs
  • Research, compile data, and assist in grant writing to address community needs
  • Assist in grant administration to address community needs
