About Keep Blount Beautiful:
Keep Blount Beautiful (KBB) is a community improvement nonprofit in Blount County. Our mission is to educate and encourage Blount County residents to take action to improve and beautify their community. KBB provides events, programs, and educational initiatives that focus on litter eradication, waste disposal, and beautification.
Position Summary:
- Manage KBB education programs; promote, schedule, and execute educational lessons and field trips for local students and community groups
- Manage KBB litter programs including Adopt-A-Mile; promote, schedule, and report program activity, oversee logistics and coordinate volunteers
- Manage KBB recycling programs; promote, schedule, and report program activity, oversee logistics and coordinate volunteers
- Recruit and manage volunteers for programs and events
- Assist with community outreach, public education, and marketing including social media, tabling events, and web resources
- Assist with planning major events and projects including litter pickups, recycling collections, beautification projects, and fundraisers. Manage event reporting and filing.
- Assist with grant projects
- Manage a program email account and answer phone calls to assist with a variety of items. Regularly communicate with residents, businesses, teachers, volunteers, community leaders, etc.
- Attend any meetings including Board of Directors meetings

Site Preferences/Qualifications:
- Proficient computer skills, including Google Drive
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Ability to stay organized and pay attention to detail
- Excellent written communication skills
- Very good public speaking skills
- Experience working with children is preferred
- Must be available for Saturday events and some evenings
